Toadbella & Friends (Japanese: キノピカリ&フレンズ Kinopikari & Furenzu) is an indie animated adaption of Nintendo’s Super Mario and Pokémon series.
The series consists of seven seasons with 26 episodes per season (except Season 5 which has 13 episodes). The series also spawned a 13-episode spinoff series (Camp Honey), a shorts series (Pokémon Tales), a prequel series (Young Toadbella & Friends – 4 Seasons), and a sequel series (Project Toadbella – 4 Seasons). It will reflect on a similar road the creator, Ethan Stewart has been through over the years. The series focuses on Toadbella, an ordinary Toad girl with extraordinary talent going through her connections with her closest friends and fans while juggling between being a Pokémon Trainer and a highly talented dancer/singer while participating in dance competitions to win the Nationals, dealing with haters, her love of hair bows, her bubbly ShroomTube popularity, and the search for her origins. It also features segments of her friends’ activity as they seek their life purposes. Half-anime and half-cartoon, this hybrid scene is set within Nintendo’s Super Mario Mushroom World with Game Freak’s Pokémon blended in.
The series premiered on the creator’s website on ________, while concluding with the Season 7 finale on ________.
